Chapter 59: A Four Letter Word

Get your mind out of the gutter...Not one of those four letter words! ;) tehehe
The best four letter word in the world...
L-O-V-E

Love- how can four little letters have such a large meaning? Good question, huh?

I look at our two little girls and think, "Gosh, I thought that I loved them then. But, I love them more now than I ever have before!" How is it possible for your love for something that you have only held in your arms for a short 20 weeks able to grow so fast and so intense?  I would do anything for these little girls. ANYTHING!  When you're pregnant, everyone gives you advice or insight on what you're about to go through as a new parent.  One, that many people shared, was how our hearts would feel like they could explode with love over our new additions.

Well... my heart has exploded over a million times up to this point and it will keep on going.  I know there are many things in life that I will always and continue to love:  God, Michael, my family, and friends... but, these two little girls don't realize how much their Momma loves them! One day... sooner than later, I hope they see it.  So, while I watch them grow up before my eyes, I'll just enjoy each and every moment.  I'll continue to give kisses, hugs, snuggles, and take pictures as this time will pass too fast.
Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.

Enjoy those you {love}!

Proverbs 3:3
Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. (or blog!)
(I'm writing... one story, memory, moment at a time!)

Chapter 58: Pajama Day

Hey girls... want to have a PJ day?
We decided to have bath time early today since LaLa and Poppa are coming to babysit tonight!
I put the girls in their oh so COMFY jammies and we had fun playing in our boppy pillows.

Have a great weekend... Why not hop into your PJ's extra early today? I'm still in mine!

Sweet little hands!

How adorable are these little toes? Footed PJ's are the best.

Chapter 57: Handmade with Love

How precious are these sweaters?
My Mom's Mom knits and does an AMAZING job.  She made the girls precious little hats to wear home from the hospital (and they were worn! WORN OUT!) She and my Nanny also made them beautiful pink and white blankets, which are on display in their nursery.

Look how little! See their precious hats?

The sweaters will be passed down as our family grows! Where are they headed to next? Off to Aunt Melissa and Uncle Sean's house they will go. Sweet baby girl Raylyn will also love her sweater!  They seemed very cozy and enjoyed wearing their first set of pearls. I can't believe the girls are 4 1/2 moths old.. time is flying by!
Rather too quickly...

Your Great Grammie and Nanny love you!

Chapter 56: Rice Cereal Anyone?

Our pediatrician, Dr Dollins, gave us the go ahead for rice cereal.
Oh how fun... so we thought. Hadley and Layton thought otherwise.  We are now on night 5 of rice cereal.  Layton has taken to it much more then Hadley. Poor Hadley, she wants NONE of it! Here are few pictures of our experiences thus far.  After one week of rice cereal we are allowed to start tying veggies.  The Dr recommended staying on one vegetable per week to check for food allergies. We will start fruits at six months of age!  We are hoping that veggies will be more exciting than the cereal.

Have a great weekend! Enjoy a nice bowl of cereal...

I love you from the top of my head to the tip of my toes!

Hadley and Layton

Michael loved his Valentine from his sweet girls.
The girls also gifted their little toes to their Grandparents:
Lala and Poppa and Gram and Grumps

We loved our first Valentine's Day with our little Valentine's!

Kisses from Mom... so much fun! Bath time (with extra bubbles) was extended tonight.

You have the sweetest little lips Hadley girl!

We started rice cereal at night. You aren't liking it as much as your sister. We laugh at your "yuck!" face.
-Starting size 2 diapers! Big girls!

Watching Hadley and Layton grow into precious little girls is so exciting to me.  I want so much for them. I have enjoyed watching them grow over the past 17 weeks.
You both are so verbal and love playing and staying awake during the day. Your smiles melt my heart.. MELT! It's time to start rolling over! We are going to start practicing.  H-e-l-l-o gymnastics time!
I think one of the most important jobs as a parent is to help build a relationship of God with each child.  If children don't grow up hearing the amazing stories in the bible, then our guidance as parents isn't complete. (My mom was fabulous about this as we grew up! Thanks, Mom!) We are given a HUGE responsibility as parents. We are to share the love of Jesus from our hearts to each of their hearts. I can only hope and pray that Michael and I are able to raise our girls in a home where God is placed first in their lives. I hope they look to him in times of troubles and fear nothing.  I want them to know he will always stand behind them.

{H&L}
I hold you in the beginning, you will hold me in the end.
Every moment in the middle, make my heart Your Bethlehem.
Francesca Battistelli- Be Born in Me
As a Mom, I can see how scared Mary must have been carrying a child feeling so alone. Putting myself in her shoes, I can only pray that you each grow to love Jesus with all of your hearts. That you lean on Michael and I for protection and love, but open your heart to Him. Be faithful girls. He is always by your side. You're never alone. Never.

You are beautifully blessed...

I could eat up her precious little nose!

Oh those eyes...

Our Dr thinks you'll both stay blue eyed! Blue eyed brunettes.
